I started in the addiction treatment field in 1999 at a nationally known program in Palm Springs, California. As a counselor, I had the opportunity to hone my skills, learn from some of my heroes and help people change their lives. I remained a counselor at this program until it’s acquisition in 2006.
2007 I co-founded Intervention 180, a national intervention firm based in Boise Idaho. We provided family interventions, sober companion services and case management all over the US.
2009 I opened my first outpatient program, Ashwood Recovery in Boise, Idaho. Ashwood successfully blended 12-step based treatment, co-occurring enhanced and trauma sensitive treatment, to provide superior outcomes. Ashwood is still thriving and has helped hundreds of addicts and their families find a new way of life.
2013 I accepted a position as Program Coordinator for the Idaho Physicians Recovery Network, Program for Recovering Nurses, Lawyers Assistance Programs and Recovering Pharmacists programs. Our goal is to help impaired healthcare professionals maintain recovery and their careers.
2015 I opened Northpoint Recovery, a Joint Commission accredited, Level III.7 and III.5 dual diagnosis program. This model successfully took all the best treatment practices from high end programs and integrated them with the medical support of hospital based programs. Today Northpoint is a leader in the addiction treatment field and expanding.
2017 I formed Seymour Consulting, to assist providers at improving their services, business practices and overall success. Having founded and operated programs and companies, I know outside feedback and ideas are vital to the ongoing sustainability of any company.
2017 I became a board member for ExPAND the Foundation. ExPAND is a (501c3) non-profit organization dedicated to educating healthcare professionals about the neuroscience of addiction. We do this through public speaking and conferences.
