My goal is to assist providers at identifying areas for improvement and solutions to barriers.  I believe outside input is vital to any operations sustainability.  With the volatility of healthcare, it can be daunting to stay ahead of trends and remain successful.  After many years of building and operating high acuity inpatient facilities, and outpatient facilities, I have experience with what works and what does not.  Here is and overview of services I provide.

Startup Consulting- Nothing is more exciting, or at times, nerve-racking, than opening a new facility. I can tell you first hand, having someone to bounce ideas off and discuss the process with is priceless.  I offer clinical program development, operations development and improvement, state and accreditation compliance and general program layout.

Program Growth- 25 Million Americans struggle with substance use disorders, 1 in 5 Americans with psychiatric issues, and only a fraction receiving care.  Healthcare and financial analysts predict services and reimbursement will continue to grow.  Whatever your specific growth goals, I can identify effective means for getting there.

Clinical Development- Whether you have an intact program and team that just needs some fresh material, or you need to build a clinical team and program from scratch, I can help.  As a counselor and interventionist, I am also able to help clinicians identify ways to improve retention, manage resistance and improve outcomes.

Revenue Issues- Reimbursement trends never rest and can create inconsistency in billing and collection.  Many programs fail to bill for all services provided and miss revenue.  Often times, minor alterations in procedures can make a significant improvement to the bottom line.

Key Hires- Identifying key talent is an ongoing process for any growing healthcare provider.  Identifying A.) Who you need and B.) Where to find them can be time consuming, I can help.

Interim Management- I provide Interim CEO/Management services for companies and programs.  These services are intended for programs with a vacancy or in a transitional period.

Preparation for Sale- Preparing for a sale, finding a buyer, recapitalization, negotiations, due diligence and closing can seem daunting.  I assist owners in identifying if selling is the right option, and can assist in creating a prospectus  presentation.

Operational Issues- Having been an addiction counselor for 18 years, I have worked in, and managed programs in many different settings.  It is my belief that the clinical team of any program can make or break a company.  Are you experiencing excessive turnover in staff, clinical difficulties, cohesion issues, difficulty with company culture?  This is not a unique problem.  Gaining outside insight can benefit everyone from the owners to the patients.

In-Network vs. Out-Of-Network Strategy- Many providers are weighing the options of IN and OON options.  Furthermore, what is right for one provider may be different from another.  I can assist with weighing these options and isolating a solution.
